About Us

HEP’s mission statement encapsulates the organisations vision and function

“HEP delivers value by bringing together business, local government and regional agencies through influencing policy and supporting the economic prosperity of Hampshire and its cities.”

HEP has three core elements to its strategic direction and operation and its work with stakeholders, partners, task groups and other organisations falls under these elements.

1.ADVOCATE

To collaborate with local authorities, SEEDA and other key stakeholders, in order to develop and maintain a strategic economic framework for Hampshire, that identifies both key action plan priorities and lead organisation responsibility for effective implementation of those plans.

To promote locally, nationally and internationally the need for continuing new investment in jobs and wealth creation.

2.INFORM

To build from a strong research base, a common approach that co-ordinates and agrees the timely gathering, analysis and dissemination of the information needed to support effective policy development in support of the economy.

3.ENGAGE

To facilitate effective ways of working together between the public and private sector that promote effective economic development, inform and influence local and regional economic development policy and improve business performance.

To encourage and facilitate sustained engagement from all HEP partners in support of jointly agreed projects and services.
