Paul Kinvig

Paul is the Chief Executive of the Hampshire Economic Partnership – a strategic organisation tasked with identifying and championing the needs and priorities of Hampshire business and providing an authoritative voice into public sector organisations to influence key decision making.

Prior to this recent appointment Paul worked in the regional newspaper industry for 19 years with a number of newspaper groups, rising to the role of Managing Director of Newsquest Weymouth in Dorset, where he was responsible for the financial success of the centre, strategic direction, product development and the forming of beneficial partnerships within the public, private & not for profit sectors.

Whilst in Dorset he was the chair of Dorset Squared (an economic regeneration company linked to the Dorset Strategic Partnership), sat on the board of Creative Dorset, was a Council member for Dorset Business (DCCI), a Governor for Weymouth College and remains a mentor for Arts & Business.

He was also involved in the Dorset 2012 Olympic Group and chaired the Communications Sub Group.

He is an Honorary Fellow of University College Winchester in Cultural Studies for his work in Winchester in bringing together various groups to build strategies to benefit the city and a graduate of Common Purpose.

Peter Grant

Peter Grant is the Skills Manager for Hampshire Economic Partnership and works closely with Local Authorities throughout the area. He has over 30 years experience in Employment and Skills having worked for the Employment Service, the Manpower Services Commission, City Action Team, Grand Metropolitan and Eastleigh Borough Council to name but a few. He has recently transferred to HEP from Business Link, from where he was seconded to the Learning and Skills Council.

Robert Read & Christopher Hale

Rob and Chris are both responsible for maintaining relationships with Hampshire and Isle of Wight major corporates, by providing them with professional, confidential and free advice to help them achieve their strategic and operational objectives.

Rob

Rob came to HEP from the private sector, having worked as a Midlands-based consultant to companies and organisations on strategic and operational issues. Prior to that he spent the first ten years of his career working with multinationals such as AMEC, as an analyst engineer in the Nuclear, Military and Oil & Gas industries in the UK and the USA. In 2000 he then moved to London to consult to major plc’s on the adoption of Internet technologies as a strategic tool. From 2004 Rob managed a large government and university backed “Investment Readiness” programme in the midlands. 

Chris

Chris’s background is also in the private sector working with companies such as Xerox and General Electric. Prior to his role at HEP, Chris worked for Zebra Technologies and Manhattan Associates, in Europe, Middle East & Africa. His responsibilities included lead generation, brand building and marketing communications. Chris has also been employed as a UK Business Manager for Xerox’s desktop products and as a European Implementation Manager for GE Information Services. He enjoys working with large corporate companies to deliver important operational objectives and imperatives across the key sectors.

Janet Crick

Janet graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a Business Administration degree and is the Office Manager. She is currently the longest serving member of staff. She has 20+ years experience in both finance and administration. Her background began in High Street banking, where her managerial duties included lending to small businesses and private customers. She also has a strong administrative background, and has spent many years working in the charity sector.  At HEP she manages a diverse range of task from hiring staff to looking after the task groups and managing Paul’s diary. She is the glue that holds the team together, and ensures that all aspects of the office run smoothly.

Hannah Powell

Hannah graduated for Southampton Institute with a Public Relations and Communications degree going onto work at a several prestigious marketing companies across Hampshire.  Hannah joined Hampshire Economic Partnership in February 2009 and currently looks after the marketing and communications side of HEP. Her role covers a variety of different tasks including event organisation, press article writing, advertising, web site maintenance and general HEP marketing. She also supports six of the eight task groups in a variety tasks including meetings, marketing and events.
